Liquid shampoo concentrates? You may be wondering how we came up with this idea when solid shampoos and hair soaps are a real trend right now. We ourselves have used solid shampoos for a long time, but then decided on liquid shampoos anyway. You can find out more about the background here.
No question for professionals
application
Unlike conventional shampoos or solid shampoos, our concentrates are freshly mixed in the applicator bottle for about five hair washes. The applicator allows the valuable ingredients to be applied directly to the scalp in the desired concentration - because that's where they can develop the most important part of their effect. Here they can support the skin's natural ability to regulate itself, and this is also where the actual causes of problems such as hair loss or excessive sebum production lie. With solid shampoos, on the other hand, you hardly bring any active ingredients to the scalp, because they are foamed into wafer-thin films when you apply them. In contrast to solid shampoos, there is no mechanical stress on the sensitive hair structure when using the applicator bottle. All the natural hairdressers we consulted advised us to use liquid shampoo.
Germs love moisture
Hygiene
Germs love water and moist environments. So when you develop a cosmetic product that will be exposed to humid conditions, you have to make a decision: Do I use protective packaging or do I use preservatives. Due to the low water content, our concentrates do not contain any artificial preservatives. In addition, they are protected by the bottle made of recycled PET. The ready-mixed shampoo in the applicator bottle is also less exposed to germs and spores. For this reason too, we have decided against solid shampoos that are permanently exposed to a damp environment without protection. After all, who likes rubbing germs on their scalp?
Compromises in the recipe
ingredients
When it comes to the health of your skin and hair, we don't want to compromise. From the beginning it was important to us that only natural ingredients with optimal effectiveness were considered. We therefore check our ingredients very carefully and carefully select which ingredients make it into our products. You can find out more on the ingredients page . However, even during the first tests, we realized that we simply couldn't implement "our" recipes if we were to market them as solid shampoos - both for production-related reasons and in relation to the properties of the individual ingredients. So with liquid shampoos we have to make fewer compromises - so you really get the best shampoo we can develop.
How green is liquid shampoo?
sustainability
Perhaps you have already used a solid shampoo for reasons of sustainability - after all, manufacturers often do without plastic packaging. But not only the packaging, the content also has an influence on nature, and that's where nasty surprises sometimes hide. With us, on the other hand, only natural ingredients are used in the shampoo and thus also in the groundwater. Nevertheless, we of course avoid using plastic whenever possible. Nevertheless, we have opted for packaging made of recycled plastic for our shampoo concentrates so that we do not have to compromise on the products themselves. You can find out more about this on our "Sustainability" page. So let's keep it short at this point: We always try to go the most sustainable way, but your hair and skin health always comes first for us.
A matter of taste?
gut feeling
Last but not least: We used solid shampoos ourselves and at some point we didn't feel like it anymore. We simply found it more pleasant to use a liquid shampoo. A matter of taste. Maybe you feel the same way? In any case, we believe that it is good if you have a choice. And if you feel like a liquid shampoo, we offer you an effective and well thought-out product - uncompromisingly natural and free of synthetic ingredients.
